BERT GREGORY
The president and a principal of Mithun, Bert has been with the firm for fifteen years and has twenty years design experience. His progressive, design-oriented architectural background has led to many award-winning projects. Bert's experience, ranging from the intricacies of interior design to the complexities of master planning, brings a valuable overview to each project he undertakes. Bert possesses a diverse background which includes serving as lead project designer on the REI Flagship Store in Seattle, IslandWood - A School in the Woods, the Pacific Northwest Aquarium, Montessori House Daycare, Fujisada (a mixed use building in the International District of Seattle), and Montana Developmental Center, among others.

Bert is a recognized expert in resource efficient design and speaks regionally on sustainable building. He recently served as the President for the Seattle Chapter American Institute of Architects(AIA), as well as the Citizens Advisory Committee and the Ballpark Art Committee for the Safeco Field Pacific Northwest Ballpark. A strong advocate for art, Bert was recently on the jury for the King County Arts Commission Artists-Made Building Products Program. He has been Chair for the National Association of Industrial Office Parks Committee Enhancement project, leading the renovation effort for a seven-room schoolhouse, as well as a volunteer on the Meadowbrook Park Salmon Stream Restoration Project as a committee member. He currently is Co-Chair of AIA Seattle's 2010 Strategic Planning effort, as well as a steering committee member of Seattle's proposed Urban Environmental Institute.
